We built Chrono Age because a surprisingly important tool had gone missing and the professionals who needed it most were left searching for something that simply worked.
Why We Built This
When Pearson Assessments discontinued their official online age calculator, thousands of speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, special education teachers, and occupational therapists suddenly had no dedicated tool to replace it. The general-purpose alternatives Pearson pointed toward were built for travel countdowns and curiosity , not for the precise clinical workflow that assessment professionals depend on.
We saw that gap and decided to fill it properly. Chrono Age was designed from the ground up for professional use: exact years, months, and days; the Y;M;D clinical format that assessment manuals require; total months for BRIGANCE and ASQ scoring; and adjusted age support for premature infants. Everything a clinician needs, nothing they don’t.
Who We Are
Chrono Age is an independent project run by a small team with a background in web development and a genuine appreciation for the work that educators, clinicians, and therapists do every day. We are not a large corporation. We do not have a sales team or a pricing page. We are people who noticed a real problem and built a clean solution to it.
We work closely with feedback from SLPs, school psychologists, and special education professionals to make sure the tool keeps up with how assessments are actually administered in the field. If something is not working the way you need it to, we want to hear about it.

Every calculation on Chrono Age follows the same year-month-day subtraction methodology specified in Pearson, BRIGANCE, and AGS administration manuals. We handle leap years, February 29 births, different month lengths, and every edge case that trips up manual arithmetic. The result you see is the result you can record on your protocol.
Your privacy is non-negotiable
We do not store any dates you enter. We do not log calculations. We do not track individuals. Birth dates are sensitive information and we treat them that way — every calculation happens in real time and is discarded the moment your result is returned. No account is required, no data is retained, and no personal information ever touches a database.

Chrono Age is free to use with no usage limits and no premium tier that locks away features. We keep the lights on through unobtrusive display advertising. The tool itself — every result, every format, every copy button — is completely free, for everyone, always.
